WAREHOUSE REPRESENTATIVE

SUMMARY
Performs needed shipping and receiving tasks in the parts warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Place daily parts orders, runs paperwork needed to check in stock and special-order parts every morning.
- Stock and post incoming orders, separates stock and special-order parts.
- Assist Parts Manager in processing weekly stock orders.
- Update electronic parts files.
- Sends and receives parts, letters, and packages for the dealership.
- Prints special order tags daily and tags special order parts to distribute to the counterman that ordered them.
- Posts parts throughout the day.
- Provide necessary information to the warranty department to allow prompt filing of parts warranties.
- Return parts as needed and remove from inventory after credit is received.
- Assist in preparing for and performing annual parts inventory.
- Crate all cores for shipment.
- Assists in dispatching the parts delivery drivers.
- Maintains the parts warehouse.
- Loads and unloads delivery and freight trucks.
- Operates forklift. Logs incoming and outgoing items.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and situations to clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
