Job Details – ER RN Travel Assignment

• Location: Corpus Christi, TX 78412 (Texas healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Emergency Department (16 beds, 8 hall chairs) – Level II trauma center
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680–$1730

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience (2+ years preferred)
• Level II or Level III trauma nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and either ENPC or PALS
• Preferred: CEN or TCRN, CPI certification
• Strong teamwork, compassion, and sense of urgency in a fast-paced clinical environment
• EMTALA training (provided if not current)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients across all acuity levels (ESI 1–5)
• Perform patient assessments, documentation, medication administration, wound care, splinting, IV insertion, urine collection, and lab draws
• Operate and monitor cardiac monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Tonopen, and other emergency medical equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including charge nurses, triage nurses, techs, and unit secretaries
• Participate in mandatory shift huddles at 7am and 7pm
• Provide timely care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and trauma patients
• Adhere to departmental policies, dress code (royal blue scrubs preferred), and foster a positive, team-oriented nursing environment
