Bar Support

Pay range depending on position worked:
Bar Back: $10 / hr + tips
Bar Prep: $15 / hr

Position is divided between the bar prep position and bar back. The bar prep and bar back are scheduled to run consecutively.
The bar prep hours are from 1-3 Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.
The bar back hours are from 3-11 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday.

Tomalo is a worldly Latin inspired restaurant, created by Urbanspace, that draws influences from various regions of Mexico and beyond. Tomalo anchors the ground level of the 44 East Ave. Residences, the skyscraper on the banks of Lady Bird Lake where East Ave meets Rainey St. We are looking for an experienced server to join our team.

We are seeking creative and energetic candidates who share our devotion to ingredients sourced from small communities throughout Mexico. What we ask from barbacks/ bar prep:

• Stocking ice and spirits for the bar
  

• Polishing glassware and ensuring the cleanliness of bottles, bartop, etc.
  

• Assisting with preparing the bar for service by ensuring bar supplies, garnishes, and utensils are properly set up in accordance with quality standards
  

• Assisting with cleaning and resetting bartop immediately after guests depart
  

• Checking the inventory
  

• Batching the syrups/cordials/cocktails
  

• Receiving Liquors/Beer/Produce
  

• Adhere to established safety and sanitation guidelines
  

• Assisting with preparation of perishables i.e., garnishes/cutting fruit/stocking fridges, etc.
  

• Perform other duties or projects as requested by management
  

• Desire to learn and train for bartender role is considered a plus
  

• TABC & Food Handler Registered With The COA
