A+ Staffing is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and people-focused Operations Manager / Chief of Staff for a a growing insurance agency in the Addison area. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with previous experience working in a medical practice, healthcare administration, or the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of client service, compliance, and operational processes, along with the ability to build relationships, solve problems, and support a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.This is a unique leadership opportunity designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career with our organization.

The ideal candidate will spend the first 12–24 months learning every aspect of the business, building relationships with the team, and gaining a thorough understanding of our operations, culture, and processes. As they demonstrate leadership, accountability, sound judgment, and operational excellence, they will assume increasing responsibility with the goal of managing day-to-day operations and serving as a trusted strategic partner to ownership.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving processes, developing people, solving problems, and creating operational excellence.

Compensation: Starting salary of approximately $80,000, plus a generous benefits package, annual performance-based bonus, and excellent opportunities for long-term career growth and advancement.

Responsibilities

Operations & Leadership

  • Learn all company operations, workflows, and internal processes through training and collaboration with leadership.
  • Work closely with ownership to understand company standards, decision-making, and long-term business goals.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new employee onboarding and training.
  • Provide operational support to team members and assist with problem-solving as issues arise.
  • Identify process breakdowns and proactively recommend or implement solutions.
  • Help maintain accountability across the organization by ensuring employees follow established procedures and company standards.
  • Monitor operational timelines to ensure key tasks and deadlines are completed on schedule.
  • Support leadership with special projects and strategic initiatives as needed.

Team & Human Resources

  • Manage internal employee engagement initiatives, including work anniversaries, birthdays, and quarterly team-building activities.
  • Coordinate employee communications and internal events.
  • Assist with employee questions and help foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Lead employee open enrollment meetings and assist with benefits communication.
  • Stay current on HR and compliance best practices, with SHRM membership or professional development encouraged.

Account Management Support

  • Coordinate monthly Account Management review meetings to ensure renewals and client updates are completed accurately.
  • Track account management metrics and operational calendars.
  • Assist the Account Management team during high-volume periods or when additional support is needed.
  • Help resolve client issues while recognizing when leadership involvement is appropriate.

Compliance & Financial Operations

  • Respond to compliance-related questions and maintain compliance calendars and reminders.
  • Upload commission reports into payroll systems.
  • Set up new client invoicing and oversee invoicing processes within QuickBooks.
  • Support accurate operational reporting and financial workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, business management, project management, HR, or a similar leadership role.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to build trust, hold teams accountable, and lead with professionalism.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred.
  • SHRM certification or willingness to pursue professional development is a plus.
