The Department of Internal Medicine at JPS Health Network is currently seeking a full-time Outpatient Neurologist to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This is a unique opportunity to practice outpatient neurology in a mission-driven health system that serves a diverse and growing patient population.

Acclaim Physician Group, Inc. (Acclaim) is a multi-specialty medical group practice comprised of over 500 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants that partner with JPS Health Network (JPS). As the county health network and Level 1 Trauma Center , JPS has been serving the residents of Tarrant County for over 100 years. In addition to providing high-quality care, JPS is also an urban teaching hospital with a long history of training physicians and medical students. JPS offers 18 residency and fellowship programs, including the largest family medicine residency in the nation . JPS educates in tandem with the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Texas Christian University Medical School.

The Department of Internal Medicine provides comprehensive specialty care across the JPS continuum, including the Main Hospital, Ambulatory Surgery Center, and a network of Community Medicine Clinics throughout Tarrant County. Our team includes more than 90 providers representing a wide range of specialties, including Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Critical Care, Endocrinology, Infectious Disease, Dermatology, and Rheumatology.

About the Role

The Neurologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive neurological care, including diagnosis, treatment, and consultations, in an outpatient clinic setting with the option for inpatient coverage. This role also includes educating patients on preventive care and prescribed treatments, as well as performing evaluations, ordering diagnostic tests, and serving as the patient's primary neurological care provider.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinic with optional inpatient coverage
• Join an established and collaborative neurology group
• Opportunity to perform EMG and EEG procedures
• 40-hour work week with flexible clinic scheduling
• New residents and fellows are encouraged to apply

Qualifications

• Current Medical Doctor (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine
• Residency and/or Fellowship training within Neurology

Required Skills

• Must be comfortable working in a large public/county facility
• Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge in area assigned, and competency in assessment techniques, diagnosis and treatment processes that apply to the assigned medical specialty area
• Must have good interpersonal, verbal and oral communication skills
• Must be self-directed and take initiative to develop and participate in community activities and medical outreach
• Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behavior
