Pediatric Gastroenterologist General Ped GI, Advanced Endoscopy, & Motility Disorder (San Antonio)

Were seeking Board Certified and Board Eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologists to join the collegial, stable team in the Section of Gastroenterology in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine working at CHRISTUS Childrens, the first and only freestanding, academic, not-for-profit childrens hospital in San Antonio, Texas. General pediatric gastroenterologists, advanced endoscopy gastroenterologists, and physicians specializing in motility disorders are all welcomed.Clinical responsibilities include:

• Outpatient and inpatient care, consultation and emergency room consultation for children with all types of intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic and nutritional disorders.
• General pediatric gastrointestinal procedures, including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy with related therapeutic procedures.
• The supervision and education of medical students, residents, and fellows in Gastroenterology.

The section established the first of its kind Advanced Endoscopy fellowship and has successfully trained five fellows. In addition, the Max and Minnie Tomerlin Voelcker Clinical Research Center with 200+ active research studies (supported by $5.3 million in state, federal and foundation grants) is available for those interested in pursuing or continuing clinical research.Qualified applicants must have an MD, DO or MD/PhD degree, be BE/BC in Pediatric Gastroenterology and have (or will obtain) a Texas medical license. Academic rank and appointment will be determined by the candidates credentials and experience.
