CNC Lathe Machinist

RIGHTSTONE IS HIRING! We’re looking for a CNC Lathe Machinist to join a fast-paced manufacturing team in Pasadena, TX with $28/hr pay for a 1 year contract (potential temp to perm opportunity) and focused on producing high-quality valve and control valve components. In this role, you’ll set up and operate CNC lathes and related equipment, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet tight quality and safety standards. Schedule: 2 nd Shift – Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to machine metal parts
• Work primarily on valve and control valve components
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
• Monitor machines during operation and make adjustments as needed
• Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and materials
• Measure finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality
• Follow all safety, quality, and maintenance procedures

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of CNC lathe machining experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read blueprints and understand technical documentation
• Working knowledge of GD&T
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong attention to detail and quality

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have):

• Experience with Okuma and/or Mazak machines
• Experience machining valves or similar precision components

Work Environment & Safety

• Fast-paced, production-focused manufacturing environment
• PPE provided by the company (safety glasses, vest, etc.)
• Steel-toe or protective shoes required (candidate-provided)
• Vision requirement: 20/30 acuity (confirmation only; no testing required)
• No travel required — all work is onsite
