Job Title: Turbine Auxiliary Operator

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Type: Contract

Compensation: $55 hourly (+/-)

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Hours: 12 hours shifts (both day shift and night shift are available)

Security Clearance: Background clearance will be required by customer

Responsibilities

• Monitor control panels to ensure turbines are operating properly and efficiently
• Make slight modifications in control systems such as tuning to optimize performance
• Complete walk downs and inspect equipment including pumps, compressors, and fans
• Monitor and analyze equipment to determine proper operation; perform minor or initial corrective maintenance such as changing filters
• Start, stop, control, and monitor turbine generating equipment to maintain maximum station capability, including manual control as needed
• Maintain communication with Command Center to ensure operational safety and efficiency

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of power generation experience
• Experience operating LM2500 turbines is preferred
• PEC Safeland and H2S Clearance certification required or ability to obtain
• Knowledge of Pratt Whitney Controls, RX3I, Woodward Micronet+, Bently Nevada, and Brush AVR systems
• Technical expertise in operating diesel turbines, commissioning or start-up experience
