As a Portfolio Manager within the Data Impact & Governance organization, you will play a critical role in shaping how technology and digital initiatives are strategically planned, prioritized, and delivered across the institution. You'll work at the intersection of strategy, execution, and governance-ensuring investments align with organizational goals and deliver measurable value.

Summary

The Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing Technology & Digital (CTDO) portfolios, overseeing planning, prioritization, budgeting, and resource allocation to support effective portfolio execution. This role ensures that projects are aligned with strategic objectives, delivered consistently, and managed using standardized methodologies, tools, and processes.

Major Work Activities
  • Manage the portfolio of Technology & Digital projects, including prioritization, periodic reviews, budgeting, and allocation of resources.
  • Coordinate the establishment and execution of portfolio goals and objectives.
  • Develop plans to address portfolio-level risks, issues, dependencies, and gaps.
  • Determine the optimal mix of resources required to support portfolio delivery.
  • Schedule and coordinate portfolio activities to achieve organizational operational and financial objectives.
  • Compile, analyze, and distribute portfolio performance and status information for leadership review.
  • Guide project and program teams on project and portfolio management best practices.
  • Ensure consistency in processes, methodologies, and governance standards across the portfolio.
  • Support continuous improvement of portfolio management tools, reporting, and practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred: Master's Degree Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, Healthcare or related field.
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Required: 7 years Project management experience to include two years in portfolio management and three years in a technology and digital project management capacity in a healthcare setting. or
  • Required: 5 years Experience required to include two years in portfolio management and one year in a technology & digital project management capacity in a healthcare setting with preferred degree.
  • Preferred: Strong portfolio experience, must know technology including experience with data management, executive reporting, budget, detail oriented, passionate, excellent communication skills, experience with Service Now, Power BI, SharePoint.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Preferred: Certified Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Upon Hire
  • Preferred: Six Sigma Certification issued by certified organizations. Upon Hire
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
