Job Summary
We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as General Supply Clerk. You will be responsible for performing the tasks associated with controlling inventoried supplies. This includes stocking of bin locations, placing charge stickers on chargeable items, requisitioning items from inventory to user departments, and checking stock items for proper counts and rotation of stock, including removal of outdates.
Job Description
- Fill customer requests for products and routes to customers in a timely manner.
- Count and replenish customer inventory sites on a scheduled basis and maintain secondary inventory locations.
- Cycle counting and adjustment of inventory locations.
- Identify patient charge items and apply charge stickers appropriately.
- Verify information on customer requisitions and enter the materials management information system (MMIS).
- Always protect inventory including area security and product integrity.
- Assist in receiving incoming shipments to ensure accuracy.
- Assist customers in specific requests for supplies.
Skills Required
- Experience with counting, picking orders, and labeling
- Microsoft Office Experience preferred
- Self-motivated preferred ? Strong organizational skills preferred
- Problem solving and decision making skills preferred
- Detail oriented preferred
- Excellent communication skills preferred
- Able to stand & walk frequently.
- Able to lift/carry 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-50 lbs occasionally.
- Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally.
- Able to reach constantly.
- Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) year of hospital med/surg supply inventory control experience preferred
- Experience with a Materials Management Information System (MMIS)
- Experience with inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and credits
- Experience with inventory adjustments, including shrinkage, obsolescence, conversions, and outdates
- Perpetual inventory experience
- Cycle counting experience
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Additional Requirements
Shifts Available:
- Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4pm
- Saturday - Thursday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
- Saturday - Thursday 4:00 pm -Midnight
- Dress Code: Comfortable shoes, pants, polo shirt
