Legal Assistant

Position Overview:
The firm is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support attorneys in active litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury law, fluency in both English and Spanish , and the ability to handle litigation support responsibilities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a full-time, in-office position.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct administrative and litigation support to attorneys
Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents including pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
Maintain and organize case files and legal calendars
Schedule client meetings, depositions, mediations, and hearings
Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, and court personnel in both English and Spanish
Track deadlines, court dates, and ensure timely filings
Assist with trial preparation and document management
Process incoming mail, discovery materials, and maintain accurate case notes
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of legal assistant experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation
Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes, especially in auto accidents, trucking, and workplace injury cases
Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy office environment
