Compensation & Schedule
• Pay Rate: $19/hour; $28.50/hour for overtime
• Schedule: standard hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, mandatory overtime will be required ; must be flexible to work between 6:00am and 11:00am, any day of the week
• Employment Type: Temporary (W2)
Role Impact
This temporary Administrative Assistant role supports large-scale, time-sensitive operations for the client during critical election periods. Success is defined by speed, accuracy, flexibility, and dependable administrative execution in a high-volume environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform high-volume, accurate data entry (30 WPM) across multiple departments and systems
• Support election operations by coordinating with judges and voting sites, processing ballot-by-mail, and handling election materials
• Open and process large volumes of mail; prepare totes and binders; lift and move materials weighing up to 25–30 lbs.
• Provide administrative support including research, reporting, payroll/HR assistance, and interdepartmental coordination
• Deliver strong customer service and complete other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 1 year of clerical or administrative experience
• Ability to type at least 30 WPM (will be tested)
• Strong computer literacy with basic math proficiency
• Strong communication and listening skills with the ability to work extended and overtime hours
• High school diploma or GED required
CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Data entry and database systems
• Email and internal communication tools
• Office equipment (printers, scanners, copiers)
Preferred Skills
• Experience supporting large-scale or time-sensitive operations
• Ability to maintain accuracy under pressure and tight deadlines
• Prior public-sector or operational support experience
