The Opportunity
This position works out of our Plano, TX location in the Neuromodulation Division. Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.
Senior Supplier Development Quality Engineer are responsible for activities related to supplier selection and evaluation, material qualification, supplier performance and receiving inspection. Supplier Development Quality Engineers drive improvement and corrective action in the quality of components sourced from outside suppliers. This position contributes to the development, establishment and maintenance of supplier quality engineering methodologies, systems and practices which meet Abbott and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
Conduct supplier quality system audits and on-site assessments to evaluate capabilities and compliance.
Own and execute CAPA processes : initiate, manage, and close corrective and preventive actions related to supplier issues.
Support Supplier Development Quality programs as a core team member.
Collaborate with suppliers to develop Process Flow Charts, PFMEAs, and Control Plans to mitigate risk.
Approve supplied product drawings, component quality plans, and inspection procedures.
Manage Supplier Change Requests , leading cross-functional teams.
Provide engineering guidance for receiving inspection, including statistical analysis and measurement techniques.
Communicate quality issues proactively through audits, corrective action requests, and technical discussions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and education
5 years of experience
Preferred Qualification:
Extensive auditing experience , preferably in supplier quality audits .
Strong understanding of CAPA ownership and execution .
Ability to travel up to 50% for supplier visits and audits.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
