Senior Software Application Developer (C# .NET Blazor)

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), strong expertise in C#/.NET technologies, and proven ability to collaborate across technical and business teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze existing application workflows to identify system efficiencies, improvements, and modernization opportunities.
Lead the design, development, and deployment of web-based software applications using C#/.NET, Blazor, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex application and system issues.
Independently execute complex SDLC tasks across all phases including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
Lead SDLC projects from scope definition through production deployment, coordinating with change control boards and release schedules.
Develop, modify, and maintain applications to meet information security and network security requirements.
Provide technical leadership, including code reviews, validation, and approval of work completed by other developers.
Collaborate cross-functionally with analysts, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
Prepare technical documentation, release notes, and system change documentation.
Conduct in-person or virtual application demonstrations to obtain customer approval for proposed designs and enhancements.
Utilize Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms.
Recommend improvements to development processes, standards, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
8+ years of senior-level experience analyzing and improving software application systems and workflows.
8+ years of experience in web-based application design and development.
8+ years of experience programming with technologies including:
C#/.NET, JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS
SQL, Stored Procedures, Oracle, SQL Server
8+ years of experience performing SDLC activities independently.
8+ years of experience in software application administration and management.
8+ years leading SDLC projects from scope to deployment.
6+ years of experience working within Agile SDLC methodologies.
6+ years of experience collaborating across teams for requirements, development, maintenance, and enhancements.
5+ years of experience implementing application changes to meet security and compliance standards.
5+ years of experience leading development teams, including code review and approval.
5+ years of experience in technical documentation and release note preparation.
5+ years of experience presenting application changes to stakeholders for approval.
4+ years of experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.
2+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using C# .NET Blazor .
Preferred Qualifications
Experience migrating or porting applications from Java to C# .NET Blazor.
Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and implementation.
Knowledge and experience implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Prior experience working with Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) systems.
