Field Foreman - Building Products - Base Salary to 80k/year - Austin, TX
- Our client is an established specialty building products manufacturer serving the commercial construction industry. The company partners with contractors, dealers, and property owners to deliver custom building product solutions for multifamily and hospitality construction projects throughout Texas.
- They are seeking a Field Foreman to support active construction projects throughout Central and South Texas, including Austin, Waco, Fredericksburg, and Galveston. This is a field-based position responsible for coordinating day-to-day jobsite activities, ensuring site readiness, performing field measurements, receiving materials, supporting installation scheduling, and serving as the primary field liaison between customers, contractors, and internal teams. Overnight travel may be required based on project needs.
Responsibilities:
- Visit active commercial construction job sites throughout the assigned territory.
- Inspect projects to ensure work is progressing accurately, safely, and according to project requirements.
- Serve as the primary field contact for customers, superintendents, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
- Perform field measurements and verify site readiness prior to installation.
- Coordinate installation schedules with subcontractors and field crews.
- Receive and inspect delivered materials for quality and accuracy.
- Attend jobsite meetings and communicate project updates.
- Document field conditions and communicate issues requiring resolution.
- Monitor punch list items and quality control throughout project execution.
- Coordinate equipment and material needs with internal departments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, work orders, and project specifications.
- Travel throughout Central and South Texas with overnight stays as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of construction experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, work orders, and project documents.
- Experience coordinating activities on active commercial or multifamily construction job sites.
- Ability to perform accurate field measurements using standard measuring equipment.
- Basic math proficiency.
- Familiarity with project management software or construction management systems.
- Strong communication skills with customers, subcontractors, tradespeople, and internal teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work at heights exceeding 20 feet on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform climbing, bending, reaching, kneeling, walking, and other physical activities required on active construction sites.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 75k - 80k/year range
- Car allowance plus mileage reimbursement
