Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required. Doctorate preferred.
• Active Texas Physical Therapist license (LPT) required to start assignment.
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only).
• Experience treating orthopedic patients; some experience with neurologic patients preferred.
• Experience working in an acute care hospital or similar inpatient setting preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Experience providing one-on-one treatment with approximately 45-minute patient sessions preferred.
• Ability to assess a broad range of patient types and set measurable, attainable goals preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0800–1700.
• Work schedule: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
• Patient mix mainly orthopedic with some neurologic cases.
• Typical patient ratio: one clinician per patient with ~45-minute treatment slots.
• May close early Friday; extra hour can be made up Monday–Thursday.

Impacting Patient Care

As a Physical Therapist you will assess, plan, evaluate, and implement care for assigned patients. You will gather pertinent data from charts and care providers, independently assess patients, interpret results, and set measurable goals. You will reassess progress per department policy, identify appropriate equipment, and educate patients and families. You will adhere to applicable standards of the Physical Therapy Practice Act.
