Mentorship and Growth Opportunities! Job Details Job Details: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic and fast-paced legal team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing discovery documents and will be responsible for supporting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. Responsibilities: 1. Assist attorneys in all aspects of litigation including case strategy, document drafting, case management, discovery, and trial preparation.
2. Manage and organize large volumes of complex discovery documents, both electronically and manually, and ensure their availability and readiness for use in depositions and trials.
3. Review, analyze and summarize discovery documents and deposition transcripts.
4. Conduct thorough legal research and factual investigations to assist in the preparation of pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
5. Coordinate and manage deadlines, organize case files, and manage case calendars.
6. Prepare and maintain document databases and spreadsheets, tracking documents, exhibits, and evidence.
7. Assist in deposition preparation, pre-trial investigations, trial preparation, including assistance with the preparation of witnesses for deposition and trial.
8. Liaise with clients, witnesses, experts, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other service providers to coordinate fact-finding, discovery, and trial activities.
9. Assist in the preparation for and attendance at trials, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and other court appearances. Qualifications: 1. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
2. Demonstrated experience with managing and organizing large volumes of discovery documents.
3. Proficiency in using legal document management software and other relevant computer software, including MS Office Suite.
4. Exceptional research skills and proficiency in using legal research software.
5. Strong knowledge of litigation process, legal terminology, court rules and procedures.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
8. Ability to work independently, yet function collaboratively as part of a team.
9. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent is preferred.
10. Bachelor’s degree in law or related field is preferred.
