Job Summary-
The Poolside Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for creating an inviting, comfortable, and safe environment for guests at the pool area. This role primarily involves greeting and assisting guests, managing pool deck maintenance, and ensuring that the area is tidy and well equipped. The attendant also supports the pool team by assisting with food and beverage orders as needed. The ideal candidate is attentive, personable, and proactive, providing exceptional guest service while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the poolside area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Activities)-
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:
- Guest Reception & Assistance: Greet pool guests upon arrival, guide them to available seating, and assist with any special requests to ensure a positive and welcoming experience. Provide overview of poolside service, amenities, and environment, check-in cabana rental guests.
- Pool Deck Maintenance: Ensure the pool deck is clean and well maintained by regularly picking up and replacing soiled chair covers and towels once guests depart, removed any trash or debris as needed. Ensure clean and dry towels are readily available to guests, restocking towel stands as necessary. Regularly check poolside furniture, walkways, and surrounding areas, report any maintenance issues to management.
- Guest Engagement & Assistance: Provide information to guests about hotel amenities, services, and other hotel dining venues. Respond to guest inquiries promptly and ensure their needs are met. Assist guests with positioning of chairs and umbrellas.
- Poolside Team Support: Collaborate with Poolside Food & Beverage Service Attendants and other team members to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Assist with Food & Beverage orders as necessary.
- Quality Standards: Ensure adherence to service standards provided by the hotel, Rosewood brand standards, Forbes Travel Guide, and LQA.
- Appearance & Presentation: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor throughout the shift. Ensure adherence to uniform guidelines are met and uniform remains in good repair.

Other Standard Responsibilities-
Experience-
- Previous experience in a luxury or ultra-luxury hospitality, customer service, or poolside environment is an advantage.

- Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Technical Skills-
- Must have alcohol server's certification (TABC) or become certified as required by company policy.
- Cash handling experience with ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers.
- Ability to clearly communicate information to customers, managers, fellow employees.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs 5 times a day.
- Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to read and understand instructions, safety rules, etc
Education or Certification-
TABC Certification required
Food Handler’s Certification required
Language-
- Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
Physical Requirements-
- Must be able to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
- Outdoor pool environment – constantly exposed to heat and wind, slippery surfaces
