<\/p><\/span> ShortList Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer to be a key part of a growing Financial Services organization.
<\/p><\/span>
<\/p><\/span> The Data Engineer role will play a pivotal role in managing complex financial modelling and reporting data, working alongside a talented team of Data Analysts to deliver cutting\-edge financial reports. A background in Financial Services is key, as I am looking for someone with an understanding of this type of data.
<\/p><\/span>
<\/p><\/span> Key Responsibilities for the Data Engineer <\/b><\/span>
<\/p><\/span>
- Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
<\/li>
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes
<\/li>
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and database structures
<\/li>
- Monitor data pipeline performance and resolve data issues to ensure accuracy and reliability
<\/li>
- Create datasets and data models to support reporting, forecasting, and operational analytics
<\/li>
- Demonstrate experience with SQL, Python, and VBA
<\/li>
- Experience of using data quality controls and validation processes to ensure data integrity
<\/li>
<\/ul><\/span>
<\/p><\/span> Qualifications <\/b><\/span>
<\/p><\/span>- 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in financial services
<\/li>
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database design
<\/li>
- Experience with Python and VBA
<\/li>
- Familiarity with data visualization tools
<\/li>
- Experience in Quantitative analysis is a plus
<\/li>
<\/ul><\/span>
<\/p><\/span> The Data Engineer role is Hybrid 1\-2 days per week in Dallas, with a base salary circa $90,000
<\/p><\/span>
