Student Helper
Summary
Part-time Student Helper positions are available in Dr. Wu's lab located at Children's Nutrition Research Center, Baylor College of Medicine. This position will provide technical support for lab research performed by senior lab personnel. The lab is currently on the path to publish a series of manuscripts currently funded by NIH and USDA. You will have the great opportunity to contribute to these exciting projects.
Job Duties
- Assists mouse colony maintenance, including breeding, genotyping, database management, keeping records in compliance with IACUC regulations.
- Assists behavior and physiology analysis.
- Assists lab maintenance: keep work surfaces clean and orderly; maintain glassware by cleaning, washing, sterilizing, and labeling; prepare lab stock solutions; ensure lab safety; assist with the ordering and inventory of lab supplies.
The PI will provide necessary training for skills as required by these duties listed above
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
- No experience required.
