Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU Float position requiring night shifts with alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedules and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with float responsibilities to overflow areas and the ED for patient holds
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Alternating weekly schedule of 36 and 48 hours (3x12 and 4x12 shifts)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU or progressive care nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Float responsibilities include supporting PCU and covering overflow areas and ED holds
- Candidates must be willing to work the alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedule
- Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including testing for marijuana — a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid any substances that could produce a positive result, including CBD products, prior to arrival
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
