Tool and Dye Maker

Description:

The Tool and Die Maker sets up and operates CNC milling machines to manufacture and modify tooling components in support of back shop operations. Responsibilities include selecting and installing tooling and fixtures; programming and operating CNC equipment using G-code; monitoring machining processes to ensure quality and efficiency; performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting. The role requires collaboration with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and ensure compliance with established standards.

#Education & Job Requirements
*High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
*A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
*A minimum of 5 years of experience operating CNC machines, including milling and turning.
*A minimum of 5 years of experience with G-code programming and CNC controls.
*Strong computing skills.
*Ability to work variable shifts based on business needs.
*U.S. Person status required for export compliance purposes.

#Job Duties & Functions
*Set up and operate CNC milling machines.
*Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
*Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures.
*Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
*Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
*Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments.
*Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes.
*Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
*Document production data and maintain accurate records.
*Successfully complete required training, including on-the-job training or formal classroom instruction, as a contingency of assignment.

*Lift up to 35 pounds.
*Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
*Demonstrate manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination when working with small parts.
