Job Title: Accountant (QuickBooks Specialist)

Location: Kingwood, Texas

Job Type: Full-Time/Contract Reports to: Controller/CFO

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with strong QuickBooks skills to manage and oversee daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles and hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks

· Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll entries

· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports

· Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure all financial data is properly documented

· Process payroll and ensure compliance with local tax regulations

· Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis

· Support month-end and year-end close processes

· Coordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, and vendors as needed

· Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

· Provide financial data and reports to management for decision-making

Preferred Qualifications:

· Prior experience in automotive service

· Familiarity with payroll systems and tax filing procedures

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

· Minimum 2–5 years of accounting experience

· Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) is required

· Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
