About the Role
The Leadperson supports daily operations at our aggregate production site. This position plays a key leadership role by coordinating crews, overseeing plant and equipment operations, and ensuring production goals are met safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is team‑oriented, dependable, and experienced in quarry or aggregate plant environments.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production
Oversee daily quarry or plant activities to ensure efficient, cost‑effective production.
Coordinate and support operation of crushing equipment and related plant systems.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment, plant areas, and work zones to identify safety or mechanical issues.
Leadership & Team Coordination
Support and direct crew members in daily assignments and resource allocation.
Provide coaching, feedback, and assist with performance evaluations.
Participate in employee training and skill development.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company safety regulations.
Identify, report, and help resolve safety and environmental concerns.
Promote a strong, proactive safety culture across the team.
Maintenance & Quality Control
Coordinate and assist with maintenance and repair of fixed and mobile equipment to minimize downtime.
Conduct quality control checks and maintain accurate documentation for production, maintenance, and safety activities.
Qualifications:
Required
2–5 years of experience in mining, quarry, or aggregate operations.
Working knowledge of aggregate plant equipment, including crushers and heavy mobile machinery.
Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Ability to lead crews and coordinate work in a fast‑paced environment.
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred
Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
Experience with welding, cutting, or fabrication (not required).
Work Environment
Outdoor and indoor work year‑round, including exposure to dust, noise, and weather conditions.
Requires standing, walking, and operating equipment for extended periods.
