Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Surgery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 5 Days Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in related nursing specialty preferred License: RN License in state of employment or compact Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: EPIC experience highly preferred Description: The competent Nurse in a surgical setting practices independently. Demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to manage long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to manage the clinical situation. Meets expectations of the applicable competencies. Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Uses appropriate protocols to administer medications and treatments. Monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers. Identifies issues and resources. Types of patients include minimal pediatrics, general surgery, urology, gyn, vascular, ortho, neuro, and robotics. Experience with GI cases is highly important due to the lack of a dedicated GI team. Robotics experience including XI, DV5, and ION, reconstructive plastics, podiatry, and cardiovascular is a plus but not required. About Cynet Health
