Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Exercise Physiologist in Cardiovascular Imaging, you will provide timely flow of patients in the imaging centers. You will assist in the delivery of patient care under the direction of physicians and technologists to include EKGs, vital signs, prepare patients for stress tests, nuclear stress tests, and stress echos. You will ensure all Emergency equipment (defib) is checked daily, including crash carts.

• You will work with other healthcare team members to facilitate exceptional patient care and efficient completion of diagnostic studies and procedures
• You will maintain a clean, efficient, and safe work environment
• You will verify physician orders and scheduling for cardiac stress tests
• You will prepare patients for examination, including taking patient's blood pressures and completing a review of patient medications (reconciliation)

What qualifications you will need:

• Less than 1 year of experience
• Two years' experience in a medical or Cardiologist office - preferred
• Knowledgeable of the principles, practices, and techniques of nuclear medicine procedures - preferred
• Sufficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology - preferred
• Previous knowledge of EKG interpretation - preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or Exercise Science related degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as per St. David's HealthCare policy
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
