218199 - Design Engineer
Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Design Engineers for a contract opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Candidate must have at least 3 years experience with Creo design.
- Candidate must have at least 2 years experience with Windchill PLM/PDM
- Mechanical primary and secondary structures
- At least 1 year of experience with Concept development
- At least 1 year of experience with Design review content preparation
- Candidate must have at least 4 years experience with Create Finished 3D Models
- Candidate must have at least 2 years experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Candidate must have at least 2 years experience with Complex Mechanical/Electrical Concepts
- 3D Models- 4 - 6 Years
- Ability to Create Finished 3D Models- 4 - 6 Years
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)- 2 - 4 Years
- Knowledge of Complex Mechanical/Electrical Concepts- 2 - 4 Years
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs major components, or major portions of a functional system, or technically advanced prototype, promotional or specific products. Develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. Develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal. Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replace ability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost. Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development. Makes layouts of assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, structures, and products. Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning. Identifies design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Model-Based Definition (MBD)
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Accredited Bachelor's Degree.
WORK HOURS:
- 4/10-1st Shift
ADDITIONAL:
- Candidate must have an Active Secret clearance or Active Interim Secret clearance. Minimum of Active Interim Secret clearance is required to start.
