*Job Title*Adjunct Faculty in Physics*Agency*Texas A&M University - San Antonio*Department*Department of Computational, Engineering, and Mathematical Sciences*Proposed Minimum Salary*Commensurate*Job Location*San Antonio, Texas*Job Type*Faculty*Job Description*The Department of Computational, Engineering, and Mathematical Sciences is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor(s) for teaching calculus and non-calculus based introductory physics lecture and laboratory for Fall 2025 in person (no online teaching option available).
*Required Education and Experience:*

* An earned Master's degree in Physics or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.

* 18 graduate hours in Physics or a closely related field.

* Physics Lecture and Laboratory teaching experience. Experience as a graduate teaching assistant acceptable.

*Preferred Education and Experience:*

* Working towards or has earned Ph.D. in Physics, or related field from a regionally accredited institution.

* Experience and interest in teaching undergraduates in a college/university setting.

* Broad training in physics.

*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Excellent presentation skills.

* Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology.

* Experience with non-traditional commuter university settings.

* Ability to work cooperatively with faculty and staff.

* Ability to respond promptly to queries from students, faculty, and staff.
