How you'll make an impact- Primary focus:
- To provide guidance and assistance to account teams and clients by using financial decision making tools
- Conducting client facing meetings when appropriate
- Speaking effectively on behalf of the underwriting team regarding core services.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing data from carriers on clients and providing recommendations to account management teams or to clients in order to effectively negotiate rates and funding levels
- Evaluating and presenting monthly, quarterly and annual reports that measure client financial status
- Tracking expenses by product line, renewal projections, funding levels and rates, etc. to the Account management teams and to clients when necessary
- Evaluating, assigning, monitoring and peer review reports generated by underwriting team subordinates.
- Assists in the preparation of presentations, campaigns, communication materials, newsletters, etc. to internal staff and clients / prospects regarding underwriting policies and scope of services.
- Acts as a resource regarding industry trends and technologies for account service and consulting, new sales, and additional sales to existing client
Required :
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years within employee benefits field in an underwriting capacity.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.
Preferred :
- Advanced Excel Skills.
- Math or Finance degree preferred.

- Strong analytical skills and good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to multi-task to meet deadlines with quality and accurate deliverables.
- Must maintain favorable relationships with clients, vendors and other office staff.
