Mortgage Loan Processor Supervisor

As a Mortgage Loan Processor Supervisor, you manage a team of loan processors and ensure that mortgage loan applications are processed in compliance with regulatory guidelines and company standards and adhere to expected service level agreements. The supervisor provides leadership, training, and support to the team while also handling escalated issues and maintaining communication between the sales and operations teams. At times, you may have a personal pipeline to process when volume, load-balancing, escalations, etc., may warrant the need.

What you will do:

• Supervise, mentor, and coach a team of mortgage loan processors
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, changes in policies, or new procedures
• Assign workloads, monitor performance, and ensure productivity standards are met
• Oversee the loan processing workflow, ensuring applications move efficiently through the process from origination to closing per regulations and predefined service level agreements
• Coordinate with underwriters, loan officers, and closing teams to resolve issues or delays in the loan approval and closing processes
• Perform quality control checks on loan files to identify and correct errors or discrepancies
• Generate and analyze productivity reports, ensuring loan processing goals are met
• Report key performance metrics to management, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions
• Address escalated customer inquiries and complaints related to loan processing
• Ensure timely and professional communication with borrowers and other stakeholders
• Process and review loan applications to ensure documentation is complete
• Serve as the main point of contact between borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and third-party vendors for loans in your personal processing pipeline
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all mortgage-related regulations (TRID, RESPA, HMDA, etc.)

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The ability to sit for long periods is essential.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This full-time position in our Irving office is considered a “hybrid” for in-office attendance. The days and in-office attendance may vary based on business needs and team performance. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CST. Overtime may be required as needed.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of mortgage loan processing experience with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role

• Strong understanding of mortgage loan products and regulatory guidelines

• Experience working with Encompass preferred
