Job Overview
Responsibilities
- Greet guests within 60 seconds and set expectations for their experience
- Accurately take and enter orders with attention to detail
- Guide guests through the menu, including making recommendations and upselling
- Maintain full ownership of tables from greeting to payment
- Pre-bus and maintain clean, organized sections at all times
- Manage timing of courses and communicate delays proactively
- Stay composed and solution-oriented during high-volume shifts
- Support team by running food, drinks, and assisting where needed
- Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, efficient service
- Present checks promptly and help turn tables efficiently
Skills
- High-volume table management (handling 4–8+ tables at once)
- Strong menu knowledge + ability to guide guests (not just take orders)
- Upselling and suggestive selling (apps, wine, desserts)
- Accurate order entry + attention to detail
- Timing + pacing (coursing meals correctly)
- Cash handling + POS experience (ideally Toast POS)
- Team coordination (kitchen, bar, runners)
- Ability to run food / bus tables when needed
- Cleanliness ownership
