Senior Accountant

Liberty Personnel is working with a growing client adding a Senior Accountant to their accounting team. You’ll be involved with financial statement preparation, financial reporting, ensuring GAAP compliance, and supporting senior management with analytics to drive business decisions. Candidates who are highly detail-oriented, organized, and can excel in a mid-sized, fast-paced professional environment are highly valued.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and financial reports.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for multiple entities.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting efficiency.
• Ensure internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance with company accounting policies.
• Manage the accounting close, including journal entries, accruals, and monthly reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare and book both revenue recognition and expense accruals.
• Monthly accounting for capital accounts, contributions, and distributions.
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for management review.
• Assist with coordinating annual tax filings with external accountants.
• Assist with annual audits.

Background:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years of Accounting experience
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, query, data analysis)
• Proficient in Accounting systems.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, partnership accounting and accrual-based accounting.
• Project accounting experience is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
