Test Engineer Intern / Lufkin, TX
Description: Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Lufkin, Texas is seeking an Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Test Engineer Intern for the Integrated Air Missile Defense Line-of-Business, supporting Development Test Equipment and Test Software activities in Lufkin, Texas. Our team is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of test systems, and you will play a key role in providing technical support, test equipment improvements, and troubleshooting expertise. What You Will Be Doing
As the ATE Test Engineer Intern for the Summer of 2026, you will be responsible for supporting test systems, providing technical expertise, and driving improvements to test equipment and software. You will work with a range of technologies, including TestStand, LabVIEW, and CVI, to control signal generation and measurement tools, conduct Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), and functional testing. Your responsibilities will include:
Designing test equipment hardware and software as needed
Analyzing failures associated with test equipment and providing recommended solutions
Troubleshooting and problem-solving test equipment issues
Collaborating with ATE users to maintain test equipment uptime and support troubleshooting

Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar STEM related field
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Desired Skills:
General understanding of test equipment such as Digital Multimeters (DMM), oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, and computer operating systems
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
