We are seeking an experienced Power BI / Data Integration Developer to support data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, and data integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, MySQL, and SAS , along with experience working with education data standards and models.

Experience with Ed-Fi Data Standard, Educator Preparation Data Model (EPDM), and Texas education data environments is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations .
• Configure and manage Power BI Data Gateway and data source connections .
• Develop and maintain data integration workflows using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) .
• Work with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) to support data modeling, analytics, and reporting requirements.
• Develop complex SQL queries and perform data analysis using MySQL and other relational databases.
• Utilize SAS for statistical analysis, data processing, and reporting as required.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective BI and data solutions.
• Work with large and complex datasets to identify trends, validate information, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation , including data flows, processes, configurations, and system specifications.
• Work with Ed-Fi Data Standard and Educator Preparation Data Model (EPDM) to support education data initiatives.
• Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and data owners to troubleshoot data and reporting issues.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and reliability across reporting and integration solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of Power BI experience with strong dashboard and reporting development skills.
• 5+ years of Power BI Data Gateway and data connection experience .
• 5+ years of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience.
• 5+ years of SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) experience.
• 5+ years of MySQL experience.
• 5+ years of SAS (Statistical Analysis System) experience.
• 5+ years of technical documentation experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Ed-Fi Data Standard .
• 3+ years of experience with Educator Preparation Data Model (EPDM) .
• Strong SQL, data modeling, ETL, reporting, and data analysis skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with State of Texas agencies .
• Experience working with education data and public-sector data environments .
• Experience with SmartSheets .
• Experience with Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Experience with the Texas Education Exchange .
• Knowledge of Texas education data standards, reporting requirements, and data integration processes.
