Technician

Tooling Technician

The position of Tooling Technician will report directly to the Mechanic/Tool Room Lead and will work cooperatively with other team members to provide quality products to our customers in a timely, cost-efficient manner following all policies, procedures and protocols. This individual will communicate with team members as well as the Mechanic/Tool Room Lead daily.

Essential Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities

Provide complete, high level customer products/service and support for customers and other Custom Truck One Source facilities.

Process requests of Mechanic/Tool Room Lead in an accurate and timely manner.

Diagnose departmental issues and communicate issues with Mechanic/Tool Room Lead.

Stay up to date on all procedure or process changes and utilize appropriate tools to improve process efficiency.

Provide high quality workmanship.

Requirements

The person in this position frequently communicates with others who have operational inquiries.

Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Ability to stand for prolonged periods.

Dexterity required to utilize power tools, and other tools required to do the job.

Ability to work in a safe environment and respect those around you.

Must be able to observe and interpret operational data.

Ability to learn technical material.

Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance.

Ability to perform responsibilities at the designated site for designated hours as assigned, excluding holidays and vacation/sick leave.

Ability to work without direct supervision.

Other Responsibilities

Various projects as assigned.

Education and Experience

Limited knowledge of tool repair.

Proficient with basic jobs like beading and working at the Parts Washer.

Ability to work with simple tools without oversight and guidance while maintaining a high-quality standard.

Experience working in a results-oriented, team environment.

Exceptional time management skills.

Ability to enter data into computer or tablet.
