Job Description

The Business Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in identifying, qualifying, and closing sales opportunities within the data, insights and AI solutions domain. This individual will be responsible for generating new business, building strong customer relationships, and exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Identify, qualify, and develop a robust pipeline of potential clients in target industries.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers at prospective clients.
  • Position Ascentt's data, insights and AI solutions to address client challenges and business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and proof‑of‑concept projects.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals within established timelines.
  • Achieve and exceed sales quotas and KPIs.

Solution Consulting:

  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., data scientists, engineers) to understand solution capabilities and develop tailored proposals.
  • Provide pre‑sales support by addressing customer inquiries and conducting needs assessments.
  • Contribute to the development of sales collateral and marketing materials.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and identify upsell/cross‑sell opportunities. Provide ongoing support and account management to foster long‑term partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in sales and business development in the tech industry.
  • Ability to work with alliance partners like AWS, Microsoft, Google, Snowflake and Salesforce.
  • Establish and maintain alliance relationships.
  • Participate in joint GTM initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of data insights, AI technologies, and their applications across various industries.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales enablement tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience in consulting services.
  • Knowledge of specific industry verticals (e.g., automotive).
  • Certifications in data analytics or AI.
