Desktop Support Technician

We are seeking a Junior Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site IT support at our client's Amarillo office. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career IT professional who wants hands-on experience supporting end users while contributing to office infrastructure projects. The position is primarily based in Amarillo, with occasional travel to support other office locations. This role will split time between day-to-day end user support and project-based work tied to office upgrades, renovations, and employee movement.

Key Responsibilities

End User Support (Approximately 50%)

• Provide on-site technical support for employees, including hardware, software, and access-related issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve an average of ~20 support tickets per day
• Handle common access and provisioning requests using Active Directory and Office 365
• Support new hires, office moves, and workstation setup during renovations
• Deliver responsive, customer-focused support in a fast-changing office environment

Projects & Office Upgrades (Approximately 50%)

• Assist with IT-related office renovation and upgrade projects
• Support workstation refreshes, office moves, and infrastructure improvements
• Work closely with the Director of Infrastructure and other IT team members on-site and remotely
• Help improve documentation and support processes as the office grows

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Strong interest in desktop support and IT infrastructure
• Working knowledge of:
• Microsoft Office 365
• Active Directory (user access, provisioning, basic administration)
• Ability to troubleshoot common Windows desktop and end-user issues
• Willingness to be on-site in Amarillo and travel occasionally to other offices
