Returns & Inventory Clerk

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm

Position Summary:
The Returns Department Associate is responsible for managing and processing returned merchandise with a focus on quality control, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with other departments to improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Check-In Daily Returns: Receive and log all returned merchandise promptly and accurately.
• Inspect and Quality Control: Examine returned merchandise for defects, damage, and compliance with company standards.
• Database Management: Navigate and utilize the online system to process returns, exchanges, and inventory updates.
• Customer Communication: Provide daily support and problem-solving for customers and dealers via email and phone.
• Repackaging: Re-box merchandise for resale or redistribution.
• Product Repairs: Perform minor repairs on helmets and other safety products as needed.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of returned products and customer information.
• Inventory Transfers: Move inventory between locations and warehouses as required.
• Annual Dealer Returns: Handle pallet returns from dealers during annual cycles.
• Physical Requirements: Lift and move items weighing 50100 lbs.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate heavy machinery such as bailers, elevator lifts, and forklifts.
• Shipping Tasks: Create shipping and return labels for outgoing and incoming products.
• Product Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of safety products and their specifications.
• Efficiency: Manage workload effectively to meet daily operational goals.
• Independent Operation: Work autonomously with minimal supervision.
