The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Corporate Accounting Manager tomanage and direct the daily activities of the corporate accounting team by:

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations and responsibilities of the corporate accounting team, including accounts payable, payroll, and consolidation of financial statement information
  • Managing the general ledger transition to a new accounting system
  • Providing training and daily support to accounting team members
  • Delegating tasks and setting deadlines for accounting team members
  • Providing team coaching, support, and guidance regarding performance issues or deficiencies
  • Training new accounting employees as needed
  • Providing recommendations to the Corporate Controller on productivity, quality, and areas of concern
  • Creating/preparing compliance reports for capital partners
  • Driving process enhancements and data integrity checks to ensure timely and accurate reports
  • Developing and monitoring effective financial and accounting controls
  • Preparing audit workpapers for the annual financial statement audit
  • Managing financial statement audit for the company
  • Managing company 401k audit
  • Preparing tax return workpapers and assisting Corporate Controller in managing the annual tax return
  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned based on business needs
  • Work Schedule : Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm CST
  • Available Remote Locations: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IL, IA, KS, KY, LA, MO, NC, OH, SC, TX, UT, WI
  • Salary Range: $TBD. The offered salary will be dependent upon the relevant/desired experience for this role. (Exempt level position)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Someone with a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Someone with 10 years of finance, accounting, general ledger, financial reporting, or other relevant experience
  • Someone with 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Someone with advanced Microsoft Excel experience
  • Someone who can use standard office equipment, printer, scanner, copier, fax, telephone, computer, and other peripheral devices
  • Someone who is self-motivated and driven
  • Someone who can independently problem-solve
  • Someone who is detail-oriented
  • Someone who can work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Internal Applicants: 6 months of Visio Lending work experience which includes no disciplinary actions within the last 3 months. The current manager notification is needed to apply for a vacant position. Any applicant that does not meet these conditions will require approval from the executive team member over the hiring department prior to extending a job offer.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Someone with 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Someone with a CPA, or MBA in Accounting or Finance
  • Someone with QuickBooks experience
  • Someone with system implementation experience
  • Someone with prior experience in mortgage or related industry
  • Someone with prior experience analyzing financial information
