Experienced Clinical Nurse - IMU
Minimum $32.70 - Midpoint $50.00 - Maximum $67.30 MD Anderson offers our nurses:
- Three 12 hour shifts per week, 1872 hours per year (minimum)

PLUS - nurses will earn up to $8,320 in annual department-based differentials for all inpatient units.Clinical Nurses relocating from 100+ miles from MD Anderson will also qualify for up to $10,000 in relocation assistance! Each day, more than 4,400 registered nurses deliver compassionate, evidence-based cancer care to patients and their families. • Manages patient outcomes by providing, coordinating and supporting clinical aspects of direct patient care across the continuum of care.
• Collaborates with physicians, other services, patient and patient's family to plan care and evaluate outcomes.
• Improves practice by integrating results and theories of research studies.
• Participates in data collection for current studies.
• Demonstrates clinical competency and compassion in providing care, using technology, administering medications, performing procedures and managing emergencies.
• Accesses, inputs and retrieves information from computer systems. Assures continuity of care through appropriate discharge planning, patient education and coordination of services.
• Acts as a patient and family advocate in order to uphold patient rights.
• Trains, coaches and assists team members to ensure optimum patient care and efficient use of resources. Education Required: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
Education Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing would be a plus.
Experience Required: All clinical nurses with less than one-year registered nurse (RN) work experience will be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program. This position is not eligible for the residency program.
Experience Preferred: Must have at least one year of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
Licenses/Certification Required: Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN).
Licenses/Certification Preferred: Certification in oncology or other nursing specialty. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification as required by patient care area.
