System Verification Engineer

As a System Verification Engineer, you will support the development of new truck electrical and electronic systems by supporting the build of test vehicles, by fault tracing problems, supporting the development team in finding solutions and by physically implementing solutions on test vehicles.
Responsibilities;
- Supports build of test vehicles by installing electrical and electronic components, wiring harnesses and the software updates needed for various EE systems.
- Performs root cause analysis for functional problems in test vehicles by performing measurements in various points of the electrical system and by using diagnostic tools
- Supports with problem resolution by teaming up with the development engineers as needed for specific problems
- Recommends solutions and provides feedback to development teams both locally and globally
- Supports test engineer with issuing problem reports for defects identified in vehicle’s electrical and electronic systems
Qualifications;
- 5+ years experience in commercial vehicle system verification and/or EE system design
- MSEE degree desired
- Ability to work fully onsite in Dallas, TX and travel locally and internationally is a must
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Specialist knowledge of various commercial vehicle systems and functions
- Expert knowledge of commercial vehicle CAN communication protocols and CAN analysis tools such as Vector CANalyzer
- Expert knowledge and experience with automotive electrical and electronics development and diagnostics tools
- Specialist knowledge and experience in vehicle controller software toolchain such as Engineering Tool, Prosit
- Experience with last generation sensor technology
- Experience with wiring harness manufacturing and repair tools
- Expert level commercial vehicle EE troubleshooting
Salary Range: $85,000 - $90,000
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
