Account Director

About the Role
The Account Director is a leadership role responsible for owning client success end-to-end—across strategy, execution, relationships, and revenue. This role elevates how Giant Noise partners with clients by ensuring work is insight-led, commercially sound, and fully integrated across teams and disciplines.
As the primary client lead and internal connector, the Account Director balances high-level strategic counsel with operational rigor, financial stewardship, and people leadership. They champion integrated thinking, defend great work, and ensure every engagement is positioned for long-term growth and impact.
This role is equal parts trusted advisor, strategic operator, and team leader—and is critical to how Giant Noise shows up as a modern, integrated agency partner.
What You’ll DoLead Client Relationships & Strategy
- Serve as a trusted senior advisor to clients, building long-term relationships rooted in partnership, transparency, and results
- Own client engagements from onboarding through renewal, ensuring alignment on goals, scope, success metrics, and expectations
- Provide strategic guidance across creative, social, paid, influencer, and integrated marketing initiatives, tying execution to broader business outcomes
- Proactively identify client challenges and growth opportunities, offering thoughtful recommendations that drive impact
- Lead complex or difficult conversations with confidence, advocating for the work while protecting the partnership
Drive Integrated Account Leadership
- Act as the connective lead across all Giant Noise teams to deliver seamless, integrated client work
- Ensure briefs, scopes, and strategic direction are clear, aligned, and actionable across disciplines
- Champion integrated thinking, ensuring client solutions reflect Giant Noise’s full capabilities—not siloed execution
- Partner closely with Strategy leadership to ensure insights, performance data, and audience understanding inform client plans
Oversee Performance, Budgeting & Growth
- Guide campaign performance and budget management, ensuring work is optimized for results, efficiency, and ROI
- Translate performance data into clear, client-facing insights, recommendations, and next steps
- Own overall account health, including forecasting, scoping, resourcing, and revenue performance
- Identify and support organic growth opportunities through expanded services and evolving scopes
- Support new business efforts through pitch participation, client transitions, and integrated planning as needed
Lead & Develop Teams
- Lead, mentor, and develop Account Managers and Supervisors, fostering strong client instincts, strategic thinking, and operational excellence
- Model clear communication, accountability, and collaborative leadership
- Support career growth through coaching, feedback, and development planning
- Promote a whole-agency mindset rooted in partnership, shared ownership, and respect
- 8+ years of experience in account management, client services, or integrated marketing (agency experience required).
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-channel client engagements.
- Strong client-facing presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial agency environment.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing, social media, influencer marketing, paid media, and integrated campaign execution.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management.
- Experience working with modern tools and platforms such as Google Suite, ClickUp, Sprout, Creator IQ, analytics dashboards, and Canva.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Empathy for clients paired with a strong business and strategic mindset.
- Collaborative, team-first approach with the ability to lead through influence.
