Operations Generalist

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a fast-growing e-commerce company, for a remote Operations Generalist to join their lean, high-energy team. This is a true jack-of-all-trades role built for someone who loves variety, thrives on solving problems, and wants a front-row seat to how a scaling online business actually runs. You will move between projects daily, from order and inventory support to customer escalations to process documentation, helping the team stay organized as the company grows fast.

Day to day, you might be untangling a shipping issue in the morning, updating a standard operating procedure at lunch, and jumping into a cross-team Slack thread to help sales or fulfillment by the afternoon. Responsibilities

• Support daily operations across order processing, inventory tracking, and fulfillment coordination
• Monitor key operational dashboards and flag issues before they become problems
• Assist with vendor and shipping carrier communications to resolve delays or discrepancies
• Help document and improve standard operating procedures as the business scales
• Respond to internal requests from sales, customer service, and warehouse teams
• Track and reconcile basic operational data in spreadsheets and internal tools
• Assist with onboarding new tools, vendors, or process changes
• Provide backup support for customer service inquiries during peak periods
• Help coordinate special projects and cross-functional initiatives
• Maintain organized records and files across shared operational systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience preferred but not required
• Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities at once
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and basic reporting tools
• A proactive, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude toward problem solving
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
• Interest in e-commerce, logistics, or operations as a career path
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace
• Prior internship, retail, or customer service experience is a plus
