Power BI Specialist/Developer II
- 5+ years of experience in Power BI development and data analytics.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in DAX , Power Query (M language) and SQL .
- Understands architectural principals, and can optimize data retrieval and storage, using architecture best-practices, while ensuring compliance to security, data governance, and data management; including but not limited to CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and ETL processes.
- Proven ability to distill complex data into intuitive visualizations and workflows.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Documentation: Creates comprehensive documentation for Power BI solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse).
- Familiarity with Power Query (M Language) and Power BI Service administration.
- Background in finance, operations, or other data-intensive domains.
- Photography as a hobby or visual design interest-a plus, as it aligns with storytelling through data and visual composition.
- Power BI certifications are a plus.
