Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Location: Berlin, Vermont (05602) – Vermont healthcare jobs
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2160–$2210
• Assignment Length: 16-32 weeks (approx. 20 weeks standard)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: January 26, 2026
• Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Therapy Unit
• Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07:00 – 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Schedule: Every other weekend required; must work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
• On-Site Position

Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent RRT experience in a hospital setting (travel experience required; no first-time travelers)
• Experience with neonate and pediatric respiratory care, including NICU/PICU involvement
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemption for flu only)
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not available; snow tires recommended November–April)
• Documented experience in all specialties worked
• Willingness to work 2 of 4 major holidays if scheduled

Registered Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages, including ICU and ED floors
• Deliver respiratory therapy interventions for neonates and pediatric patients as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays
