Emancipet is expanding and hiring veterinary technicians for our Pflugerville - Windermere clinic - no experience necessary!

Who We Are

Emancipet is a nonprofit on a mission to make spay/neuter and veterinary care affordable and accessible to all pet owners. We manage an expanding national network of high quality, low-cost clinics; offer training programs to animal welfare organizations nationwide; and advocate for strategies and public policy that improve the lives of pets in underserved communities. From humble beginnings in 1999 right here in Austin, Emancipet has spayed or neutered over 375,000 dogs and cats in the last +20 years and last year alone cared for more than 100,000 pets.

Why We Do It

We believe that people LOVE their pets and want what is best for them. We also know that veterinary care is financially out of reach for many pet owners. We believe that making the care that every pet needs affordable and accessible improves the lives of animals and the people who love them.

Who We Need

We are currently seeking compassionate individuals to train as veterinary technicians for our healthy pet services and spay/neuter surgery teams - and no previous animal experience is required! We will train you to provide excellent medical care, and amazing service to our community. Experienced technicians are encouraged to apply as well. • You are truly moved by being of service to pet owners who need us - I mean, like misty, not full on crying;
• You can handle the physical requirements of the role, which include ability to walk and ascend/descend stairs and ramps, remain standing for hours, bend/stoop, squat/crouch, climb, kneel and twist, adjust or move equipment and animals weighing up to 50 lbs, verbally communicate with others, and type and engage in other repeated hand motions that include use of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Compensation and Benefits

* We offer a competitive compensation package including medical, life, vision, and dental insurance, 401K, PTO, and generous discounts for your pets. Compensation rates start at $17.46/hour, but vary based on experience and job function.
