Upfitter Technician
Job description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technician to join our team. A Technician inspects, analyzes, and troubleshoots client systems and equipment. They run tests and interpret the results to make effective recommendations to fix faulty or broken equipment. When necessary during repairs, they will source replacement parts and negotiate costs with suppliers and clients.
Duties:
– Conduct diagnostic tests to identify vehicle issues and malfunctions
– Perform repairs and maintenance on various automotive systems, including powertrain, brakes, suspension, and electrical
– Use hand tools and specialized equipment to disassemble, assemble, and repair vehicle components
– Inspect vehicles for damage and provide accurate estimates for repair costs
– Keep accurate records of all repairs performed
– Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and industry trends
Experience:
– Proven experience in automotive diagnostics and repair
– Familiarity with auto-estimating software
– Proficiency in using hand tools and specialized equipment
– Experience in auto body repair is a plus
– Knowledge of GM vehicles is preferred
Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Valid driver’s license
– Excellent problem-solving skills
– Strong attention to detail
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
