Vulnerability Remediation Coordinator

The ideal candidate will coordinate remediation activities across Infrastructure, Security, Application, and Operations teams to ensure timely resolution of security vulnerabilities while adhering to established change management processes.
This role requires strong experience with ServiceNow, change management, CAB presentations, vulnerability tracking, and server infrastructure environments including Windows, Linux, and Citrix platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track server vulnerability remediation activities across multiple infrastructure teams.
- Manage vulnerability remediation efforts through ServiceNow, including Change Management and IT Remediation Workspace.
- Create, update, and maintain change records to support remediation activities.
- Present remediation-related changes to the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and obtain required approvals.
- Monitor remediation progress and ensure timely resolution of high-risk and exception-based vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate remediation efforts across Windows Server, Linux Server, and Citrix environments.
- Work closely with Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC), Infrastructure, Application Support, and Operations teams.
- Facilitate emergency and out-of-band remediation activities when required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready records of remediation activities.
- Track vulnerabilities from assignment through validation and closure.
- Provide status reporting, remediation metrics, and escalation support to leadership.
- Support compliance, audit, and security evidence collection activities.
- Identify and resolve remediation bottlenecks to improve overall vulnerability management processes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience coordinating server vulnerability remediation in an enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including Change Management and IT Remediation Workspace.
- Strong understanding of ITIL-based change management processes.
- Experience presenting changes and remediation plans to a Change Advisory Board (CAB).
- Practical knowledge of:
- Windows Server
- Linux Server
- Citrix Infrastructure
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple remediation initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting vulnerability remediation in government, regulated, healthcare, financial, or large enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management workflows involving CSOC, Infrastructure, and Application teams.
- Experience managing emergency or out-of-band remediation activities.
- Exposure to audit, compliance, and security evidence collection processes.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management tools and remediation best practices.
- Understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements.
