Operations Manager - Aviation Analytics Integration
Program Overview
About The Role
Peraton Labs is seeking an Operations Manager to support the BNATCS CTO by helping drive coordination, execution discipline, and operational follow-through across a fast-moving, highly technical team environment. This role will work closely with program leads, technical stakeholders, and cross-functional contributors to capture actions, connect workstreams, maintain visibility into priorities, and help ensure commitments are documented, tracked, and advanced.
This ideal candidate for this role is a highly organized self-starter with a strong interest in aviation, a natural bias toward action, and the ability to operate comfortably at the intersection of business and technology. This person should be someone who can quickly understand what is happening across the program, weave together disconnected threads, and help hold teams and leaders accountable to themselves, one another, and the broader mission. This is an ideal role for someone with strong operational instincts, sound judgment, and the maturity to support senior stakeholders in a complex environment without requiring constant direction.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Support day-to-day operational coordination across program leads, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Capture, organize, and track actions, decisions, dependencies and follow-ups across meetings, workstreams, and leadership discussions
- Help ensure key program activities are documented, communicated, and advanced to closure
- Maintain visibility into ongoing initiatives, emerging issues, open items, and coordination needs across the program
- Connect work across multiple leads and functional areas to reduce gaps, improve continuity, and strengthen execution discipline
- Help hold stakeholders accountable for commitments, timelines, responses, and follow-through in a constructive and professional manner
- Support the creation and maintenance of operating rhythms, action trackers, meeting artifacts, status inputs, and program coordination mechanisms
- Assist with staff coordination and follow-up to ensure program priorities remain organized and actionable
- Translate complex discussions into structured next steps, ownership, and practical execution paths
- Partner with leadership to improve internal coordination, information flow, and operational clarity across a dynamic technical environment
- Help surface risks, bottlenecks, misalignments, or unanswered questions before they become larger execution issues
- Contribute to a culture of ownership, responsiveness, and disciplined follow-through
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, Master’s with 6+ YoE, or 3+ years with a PhD. 4 additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Extensive experience supporting operations, program coordination, project execution, staff planning, business operations, technical operations, or similarly integrated roles
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple moving pieces, track actions, and maintain follow-through in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to create structure where ambiguity exists
- Ability to work effectively across both business and technical stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate independently, take initiative, and drive progress without needing constant oversight
- Professional maturity and judgment to work with senior leads and help maintain accountability across teams
- US Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain an FAA Public Trust suitability
Desired Qualifications
- Strong interest in aviation, aerospace, air traffic systems, or transportation modernization
- Experience working in startup environments, early-stage organizations, or similarly high-agency settings
- Experience supporting technical programs, engineering teams, or early-stage organizations
- Familiarity with program tracking, action management, meeting cadences, and leadership support in complex initiatives
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and identify what matters most for execution
- Experience balancing business priorities with technical context in a cross-functional setting
- Exposure to analytics, software, systems integration, or AI-enabled programs
- Experience using collaboration and workflow tools to track actions, ownership, and dependencies
