Senior Node.js Developer (AWS Lambda & CI/CD)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Node.js Developer to design, build, and maintain our next-generation serverless applications on AWS. In this role, you will be a key player in our backend development, focusing on creating robust, event-driven microservices using AWS Lambda and implementing a seamless CI/CD pipeline to ensure rapid and reliable deployments. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about writing clean, efficient code.

• Design & Development: Architect, develop, test, and deploy serverless applications and RESTful/GraphQL APIs using Node.js and AWS Lambda.
• CI/CD Pipeline Management: Build, maintain, and optimize our continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Define and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as AWS CDK, Serverless Framework, Terraform, or AWS SAM.
• Event-Driven Architecture: Implement and work with event-driven patterns using services like Amazon SQS, SNS, and EventBridge.
• Database Integration: Work with various AWS data stores including DynamoDB, RDS, and Aurora, optimizing for performance and cost.
• Monitoring & Observability: Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, and other tools to ensure application health and performance.
• Security & Best Practices: Enforce security best practices in the AWS environment, including IAM roles, policies, and securing API endpoints.
• Code Quality: Champion code quality, writing unit and integration tests, and conducting thorough code reviews to maintain high standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, front-end developers, and other engineers to deliver features end-to-end.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior developers.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Node.js.
• AWS Lambda & Serverless: Proven, hands-on experience developing, deploying, and debugging AWS Lambda functions in a production environment.
• CI/CD Expertise: Demonstrable experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines for serverless or containerized applications.
• AWS Services: Strong proficiency with core AWS services beyond Lambda, including API Gateway, IAM, S3, and CloudFormation.
• JavaScript/TypeScript: Expert knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and significant experience with TypeScript.
• Databases: Solid experience with both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB) databases.
• Testing: Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Chai.
• Version Control: Mastery of Git and collaborative workflows (e.g., GitFlow, trunk-based development).
